About the Project

This Val de Vie garden needed to feel polished, usable and completely at home in the Cape Winelands. CSA Landscaping designed and planted a full outdoor setting that links the house, courtyard paths, lawn and pool with strong structure and soft, scented planting.

Italian cypress gives height against the white walls. Olive trees frame the pool and outdoor living areas. Rosemary, lavender and agapanthus fill the beds, while clipped silver hedging keeps the patio spaces neat and practical for everyday use. 🌿

We created a refined modern design featuring:

  • Soft Mediterranean planting with olive trees, wild grassses, lavender and rosemary
  • Clean gravel pathways that guide the eye through the garden

The Result: The finished garden feels elegant, relaxed, and thoroughly at home at Val de Vie. Guests can move easily between the house, pool, and garden rooms, while the planting softens the architecture and draws the Cape Winelands landscape right up to the home.
