About the Project

CSA Landscaping & Contractors created this beautiful modern family garden at Val de Vie Estate in Paarl. The client requested privacy, a large lawn for the children, wind protection on the south-east side, and an overall stunning landscaped garden.🌿

We delivered a contemporary design featuring:

Indigenous planting palette including Aloes, Red Hot Pokers (Kniphofia)
Restios, Fynbos Shrubs, and Flowering Perennials
Strategic Wind-breaking Trees and Screening Plants
Elegant Stone Features, Modern Paving, and Natural Pebble Beds

The result is a low-maintenance, water-wise garden that perfectly balances functionality for family living with the natural beauty of the Boland.

This is a beautiful wide-angle view of the garden at golden hour, showing a vibrant, well-established indigenous planting bed with mountain views in the background. A vibrant indigenous garden border with red Watsonia, flowering fynbos, wild rosemary, and mature trees. Some pincushions, rounded, colourful flower heads (especially the orange/reddish ones) are pincushions (Leucospermum species). They are very popular in Boland gardens.
