About the Project
CSA Landscaping & Contractors was involved in the development of structured gardens and hardscaping elements at one of the Boland’s most iconic wine estates. The project focused on creating functional, aesthetically refined outdoor spaces that complement the estate’s agricultural character while maintaining a strong sense of place.
The work included the installation of raised vegetable and herb beds, natural wooden walkways, and carefully integrated water features. Gabion retaining structures and timber steps were used to manage the sloping terrain, allowing for better access and visual flow throughout the garden. The planting was designed with a mix of productive and indigenous species, creating a landscape that is both beautiful and practical.
This project reflects CSA’s capability to deliver high-quality hardscaping and structured landscaping on large, prestigious properties where attention to detail and long-term durability are essential..🌿
We delivered a contemporary design featuring:
- Custom raised vegetable and herb beds with timber framing
- Natural wooden walkways and staircases on sloping terrain
- Gabion retaining walls and erosion control structures
- Water feature integration and pond construction
- Gravel pathways and structured garden layouts
- Combination of productive and indigenous planting
The result: The project successfully delivered a cohesive and functional garden structure that complements Babylonstoren’s unique character, with robust hardscaping and planting that continues to perform well in the Boland climate.
